- Recently I found out that the Creative Labs AWE32 sound card has a
- direct audio in/out connection that supports their DSVD Modem Blaster
- product. I presume this interface facilitates a speaker phone using
- the soundcard. This seems to be an unusual feature, as no other modems
- I'm aware of support such an interface. (Please correct me if I'm
- wrong.) Does the lack of such a feature on other modems imply that
- other voice modems don't support speaker phone using a soundcard, or
- is the need for such a connection unnecessary with other DSVD modems?
- For example, is it possible to connect a USR Vi modem to an AWE32
- using the external connections on the face of the modem? Assuming the
- latter, which DSVD modems support speakerphone functionality?
-
- Assuming I get some responses, I will provide a summary on
- request.
-
- Thanks.
